CHILDLINE works for the protection of rights of all children aged from 0 to 18. It is an initiative for rescuing and assisting children in distress. Their particular focus is on all children in need of care and protection, especially the more vulnerable sections, including: Victims of child sexual abuse.

What happens if I call Childline?
Childline is always there to support you. When you call our free 0800 11 11 number you’ll come through to our switchboard. You’ll then speak to someone who’ll make sure you’d like to talk to a counsellor before putting you into the queue. Once you are in the queue it’s usually only a few minutes until someone answers.
Does Childline call the police?
Childline wants to make sure you’re safe and sometimes we work with the police to do that. But most of the time we don’t tell anyone what you say to us. We can keep it confidential even if you tell us you’re doing something illegal like stealing or taking drugs – we don’t work with the police in that way.
