How do you make a Stencyl game?
Open Stencyl and click “Click here to create a new game” then click “Crash Course Kit” and ”next”. If the “Crash Course Kit” does not show up go to File>Import Game and then import the kit. Type in a name and the game size, I used 1280×720 in a landscape orientation.
Is Stencyl better than scratch?
Scratch is a great way to get started with programming. Stencyl builds on the block programming concepts from Scratch, but is a professional game development toolkit that can be used to publish games to desktop and the various mobile app stores. It’s much more complex and has a complete game engine and API built-in.
Does Stencyl have a virus?

What language does Stencyl use?

Starting in version 3.0, projects in Stencyl use the Haxe programming language and OpenFL game framework to allow a flexible, write once, run anywhere style of game creation.
How do you code Stencyl?
You have three options to write code in Stencyl:
- Use code blocks in Design Mode behaviors. This is this easiest option to include short pieces of code in your behaviors.
- Create behaviors written in code in Code Mode.
- Write arbitrary classes in Freeform Mode.
Can you make money with Stencyl?
Making money off a web game is quite doable if you put your mind to it. Besides creating games to make money whether it be for a living or for profit, it forces you to put more effort into what you’re doing. Creating a finished product and shipping it – the “last 10%” is something that can only be taught by doing it.
Is Stencyl free to use?
Is Stencyl free? Stencyl always has been free to use for Flash publishing – other platforms require purchasing a license. All we require in return is the display a small banner before the game begins as a way of giving us credit.
